Students will be learning how to write their numbers in three different forms: Standard, Expanded and Written. We often call this SEW-ing our numbers. They will also learn about the Ten Thousands place and the Hundred Thousands place. We will also begin working on their number fluency, starting with a review of addition and subtraction. Science: We will be starting Science this week! We begin by assembling our Science notebook, which will be a great study tool for the students as the year progresses. Then we start exploring Matter. Students will learn that matter has 3 phases: solid, liquid and gas. Most of this week will be spent helping students recognize and remember the differences between the phases.
